Anne Tangi
Anne Michiko Tangi is a facilitator of holistic, meditative, healing experiences that encompass yoga, dance, creative movement, Reiki, meditation, sound therapy, art making, language and community building. She integrates her passions to hold safe spaces in which members connect with their true selves and one another, raising the vibration as they celebrate life together.
Anne’s passion for dance led her to discover the practice of yoga. Having danced with chronic back pain for years, she first saw yoga as a marvelous physical exercise that left her body feeling open in ways she had never experienced. She later discovered that there is so much more to yoga than asana, or the postures. For Anne, yoga is the connection among all things, experiencing the richness of each moment, accepting what is and moving forward from a place of love, faith and surrender.
After falling in love with yoga, Anne pursued teacher training programs through Yoga Bliss / Yoga In The Woods, Urban Yoga Foundation, United We Om, and The People’s Practice. She delights in sharing yoga with people of all ages and backgrounds, and has a soft spot for early childhood.
Throughout her work Anne applies the concept that everything can be a tool to help us connect with ourselves when we are receptive to the present moment. Ultimately as a facilitator, Anne aims to help others feel free, empowered and radiant in their own skin, tap into their unique rhythms, and shine their light.
